World AIDS Day

Well I know it was actually a few days ago but this ad makes a good point. 5,500 people live with HIV in Ireland, that's an incidence of just over 1/1,000. Pretty scary, particularly considering that hospitals all over Ireland are reporting an annual increase of 20-25% in new cases. Whilst treatment for HIV has come on in leaps and bounds, prevention is of course the better alternative. At the same time, we have to tackle the associated stigma for those living with HIV.
